Teacher- What is a colour?
Student- The property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way it reflects or emits light is colour.
Teacher – Whoa‼ That’s huge.
Student – It’s the definition of colour!!?
Teacher – Okkkayy. Tell me what’s a colour in simple words.
Student – Colour is a component of light which is separated when it is reflected off of an object.
Teacher – Oh, come on!

Colours are inspiration,
Colours are a wonderful creation.
Colours are a foundation,
They make up our nation.
Blue is the ocean.
Blue is the sky.
Blue is the plastic bottle,
which we buy.
Pink is my room.
Pink is my cheek
Pink is the colour,
of flamingo’s beak.
Red is my heart.
Red is my blood.
Red is the colour of,
a small rose bud.
Yellow is a banana.
Yellow is the Sun.
Yellow are the crackers,
which we burst for fun.
Green is the grass.
Green is the tree.
Green is the apple,
which we see.
Brown is a chocolate
Brown is a bear.
Brown is a strong,
hard, wooden chair.
Purple is a berry.
Purple is a grape.
Purple is a bruise,
which has no shape.
Orange is an orange.
Orange is a carrot.
Orange is the beak,
of a talking parrot.
Black is my eye.
Black is my hair.
Black is the darkness,
When there is no glare.
