I tell the world I sing a song
I’m cheerful since the rain came along
The long awaited rain has come
Filling all craters and chasms
The dust has settled, the cool breeze blows
The tree is smiling and the leaf glows
The sun is out, the sky is blue
The blinding rays have no clue
There is a joyous feel in the atmosphere
The people around don’t know fear
The scent of mother Earth crawls up our noses
It creates an aura of sweet, little dozes
The kids play out in puddles
Laughing and blowing bubbles
The temperature has dropped, sweat has perished
The plants are swaying and the flowers have flourished
The first showers have cleaned our souls
Making us content but wetting our soles.
