To foster the spirit of unity and harmony, the Shishyans commemorated Makar Sankranti with the students of Government Secondary School, Solsinda. This auspicious festival, traditionally heralding the arrival of spring in India, venerates the Sun God, a symbol of divinity and wisdom, and embodies profound cultural and spiritual significance.
Under the guidance of their facilitators, the Shishyans of Class IX curated a thoughtfully designed program that highlighted the diverse regional traditions associated with Makar Sankranti. The event featured a captivating poem recital and an interactive session comprising riddles, idioms, and proverbs, enriching the participants’ knowledge while fostering engagement and camaraderie.
Aligned with the principles of the Sewa Mission and the ethos of “Sharing is Caring,” the Shishyans distributed sesame-based sweets, accompanied by the heartfelt message, ‘Til, Gud Ghya Ni Goad Goad Bola‘. In a gesture of goodwill and encouragement, the students of Solsinda were also presented with stationery kits and warm wishes for their forthcoming examinations.
This celebration not only reinforced the values of generosity and community but also provided a platform for cultural exchange, leaving an indelible mark on all participants.
