“Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day to remember the gallant efforts and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces.” 

At Shishukunj International School the feeling of patriotism is inculcated through an array of events to make sure that students become responsible citizens of our Nation. A special assembly to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas was organized by the students of Classes X A and X B.

The school celebrated ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to remember India’s war victory and to pay tribute to Kargil Martyrs who displayed immense courage during the war. The assembly began with a prayer to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. At the outset, a short quiz was conducted to highlight the significance of the day. The thought of the day and news gave an insightful touch to the event.

On this occasion Guest Speaker Col. Surendra Phalswal, a second-generation army officer, enlightened Shishyans about the Kargil Diwas through an interactive session. He shared his first-hand experience of the war with the young Shishyans and eulogized the bravery and sacrifices made by our valiant soldiers at Kargil. Directors Mr. Manoj Davey and Mr. Vineet Sethia felicitated the guest speaker with a memento. The event culminated with the National Anthem and the patriotic fervor infused in the air.
