“I am a seed nourished by creativity, watch me grow.”

Class III students, under the guidance of their science educator Ms. Balwani learnt about the concept of germination by conducting a seed germination experiment.

The students were asked to bring disposable utensils along with them in which they planted the seeds that were provided to them. The objective of the experiment was to make the shishyans understand the requirements for plant growth.

We at Shishukunj not only believe in academic development but also in teaching Shishyans to be responsible citizens of the society. Thus, shishyans were also enlightened about the importance of planting trees and protecting the environment.

This experiment not only gave them an opportunity to see up close how a seed grows but also created a sense of responsibility by taking care of the sapling.

The shishyans were told that, with love and care, everything blossoms and grows into something beautiful. After a couple of days the shishyans were asked to take back their pots and place their sapling into a bigger pot at home and to take care of it. Shishyans also named the plant after their own feeling of belongingness. The curiosity to learn and the will to create a change were clearly seen in the efforts of the students.
