A special presentation was conducted by our very own pre- primary educator Dr. Gurpreet Kaur to explain the significance of the National Dentist Day, which is celebrated on 6th March every year. It was organised to provide information and promote oral care and dental hygiene amongst our budding Shishyans of the pre- primary.

The session began with a foot tapping rhyme and a wonderful short story about a little boy who doesn’t like to brush his teeth. The presentation was informative and child friendly wherein the significance of maintaining the teeth clean, healthy and strong was emphasized.

Briefly, the difference between milk teeth and permanent teeth was discussed.

Tips were given to follow dos and don’ts such as-

1. brushing teeth twice a day
2. to avoid thumb sucking, nail biting and pushing
3. to stop putting things in your mouth

The session was well presented and explained by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur. Children enjoyed it and learnt about the oral health and hygiene with much intrigue and complete focus.
