‘The Earth is what we all have in common’
Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
In honour of Earth Day our teeny weeny Shishyans of Senior KG rejoiced on Earth Day which was held on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Being imparted with the knowledge of Mother Earth’s importance, our children pledged to save our precious planet. They were trained to make paper bags and then distributed them to spread awareness pertaining to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Our tiny tots of Nursery and Junior KG were shown a presentation to remind them of their duties towards Mother Earth and some significant contributions that they could make to save it. They were indulged in making seed balls; their excitement was infectious indeed! They felt proud living in the cleanest city of India and enjoyed all the songs of Swachha Bharat Abhiyan.
The Junior KG children also did an activity where they were asked to separate dry and wet waste.
The Mother Teachers were delighted to receive emails from parents whose wards had fulfilled various Earth Day related tasks; this ensured that the learning was 360 degrees.
The children who completed the Earth Day tasks were honoured with specially designed badges stating ‘I am an Enviro Kid!’. We hope these appreciation gestures will help motivate more children to join hands in helping our precious planet survive.
