Today, I got a friend,
Who got the same thoughts.
She knew my every little secret,
Despite the quarrels we fought.
She helped me laugh,
She dried my tears.
Because of her,
I have no fears.
She corrected me whenever I was wrong,
She got me on the correct track.
She listened to all my dreams,
Despite the calibre I lacked.
As time passed,
We grew closer and closer
In the world,
She is the only one who gave me a shoulder.
All my life, I have been waiting for someone,
And that someone is you.
If I ever lose you,
There will never be someone new.
I know I have got a perfect friend,
Who always brightens my day.
Stay with me forever,
So that I can say whatever my heart wants to say.
