As a Shishyan I learn that,
Life outside the classroom does not take exams subject-wise,
And everyone who cares for you is nice.
As a Shishyan I learn that,
Being decorous makes us look polite,
Makes us mannered in one’s sight,
And even prevents fights.
As a Shishyan I learn that,
Equations and formulas are important but,
Lack of self-confidence will make be our Achille’s heel.
Tenses, articles and prepositions are the key to success,
But, the need of leadership skills is also there to keep
Us independent and make one better with each step.
History, motion, ‘vachan’ are the best
But only if we put them to the test.
As a Shishyan I learn that,
Being friendly will bring beautiful colours and erase
The world of solitude and worry.
As a Shishyan I learn that,
Resilience, spirituality, perseverance and humanity are
The real hallmarks of compassion, confidence and strength
Because life outside the classroom does not
Take exams subject-wise.
