Aaryama Singh, Class VI F
On Saturday, everyone from our building decided to visit Somanipuram for a picnic on Sunday. I was so excited about the trip that I got up early in the morning. We packed our bags with all required materials.
We friends had decided to sit in the same car but our hopes were shattered when we saw Sonu Aunty heading towards our car. She stood next to the car and said, “Children, I am sitting with you!” If you know Sonu aunty, you’d know that after letting her in, there was hardly any space left for anyone else. Our parents asked us to join them but I said, “No, we can manage in the boot.”
Thankfully, they allowed us to sit together in the boot. All through the journey we had to listen to Sonu aunty’s jokes. They were not funny at all, but we had to laugh out of politeness.
We finally reached Somanipuram. It was such a relief. After breakfast, my friend and I played on the soldiers’ net. That was my favourite. We played on each and every swing and finally decided to go to the swimming pool.
After a very enjoyable time, we returned home and laughed as much as we could on our way back. It really was a fun trip!
