‘Preserve and Cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we have ever known.’

Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22nd each year, reminds us of how much harm we have caused to the Earth and inspires us to learn how we can correct and prevent more damage to it.

In order to imbibe this knowledge, a talk about Earth was planned. Various ways of protecting our planet were discussed such as, saving water and electricity, planting trees and many more.

In order to impart knowledge about our blue planet various activities were planned from Nursery to Senior KG.

Senior KG children  engaged in a sorting activity that was planned wherein they segregated what things make our planet happy and sad. Earth Day Bingo was organized. Pupils spoke about activities for which they came prepared. Our budding Shishyans of Senior KG displayed placards with slogans and went to other senior classes.

Junior KG children had clubbed a nature walk with artwork. Our tiny members of the Nursery were fascinated with a  tissue paper activity that created an image of earth. They also got busy in a sorting activity wherein they had to remove dirt off earth. Moreover, our charming orators spoke a couple of lines on saving Earth.

We all know children learn best through music and movement so Earth Song was sung.

An insightful day that kept our little buds captivated and enthralled.
