The Shishukunj International, North Campus, celebrated the nation’s 77th Independence Day on the 15th of August and remembered with gratitude the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
Gaiety and Nationalistic Ardor marked the Independence Day Celebrations when the Indian tricolor was unfurled in the school campus by the Directors Mr. Manoj Davey and Mr. Vineet Sethia, along with Guest of Honor Mr. Vijay Kachhawa.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar emphasized the significance of the day and inspired young Shishyans to become responsible and committed citizens of the country.
The highlight of the programme was Inter-House Group Folk Song competition; the audience witnessed an extensive array of participation from all four houses – Kalam, Devi Ahilya, Lata Mangeshkar, and Dhayanchand. It was a treat to the ears to hear the melodious voices of the talented budding singers.
The panel of judges adjudicating the competition included Ms. Meeta Davey and Ms. Chetna Khale.
The group dance performance presented by talented Shishyans depicted the sacrifices of the great Indian soldiers and recreated feelings of love, respect, and duty towards our country.
The event ended with a patriotic fervor in the air.
