At summer camp, memories are always made, and they never fade.
The Sports Summer Camp always provides unforgettable sporting experiences that challenge, inspire, and shape the future of budding sports talent.
The much-awaited Sports Summer Camp at the Shishukunj International School, North Campus began on May 1st, 2023 wherein the young learners got ample opportunities to grow and develop exponentially through sports.
The training was conducted by expert coaches who followed a scientific training schedule under the mentorship of sports department head Ishwer Chand Gupta.
115 sports enthusiasts enrolled for the month-long summer camp and gained new abilities, self-confidence, and perseverance. The participants between the age group 6 to 17 were able to select from a diverse range of sports activities which included: Swimming, Table Tennis, Squash, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Basketball, Shooting, and Skating.
During the summer camp, the young learners also followed a well-designed fitness regime, with a prescribed diet aiming to improve their strength, agility, and sport-specific skills.
To inculcate the value of sportsmanship and to enhance competitive spirit, an array of tournaments was organized for all the participants. The events took place on May 29th, 2023 wherein all the participants showcased their talent and skills with great zeal. The winners were felicitated on May 30th in the esteemed presence of Director Shri Manoj Davey and Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar. In all, the competitors bagged 65 Gold medals, 46 Silver medals, and 14 Bronze Medals.
At Shishukunj, we believe learning is meant for all and hence the students from other schools also benefited from the Sports Summer Camp. The camp was indeed a fruitful one and provided a unique juncture for learners to acquire new skills and life lessons beyond the confines of home.
