The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, proudly hosted the Senior Bal Vigyan for Social Science on January 18, 2025. As its name suggests, this esteemed event celebrates the spirit of intellectual curiosity and innovation, offering a dynamic platform for students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and analytical prowess in Social Science. Bringing together young minds from across the region, the event was a beacon of exploration, fostering intellectual engagement and groundbreaking ideas.

The event was graced by an eminent panel of adjudicators comprising Dr. Rajeev Srivastava, Associate Professor and Associate Dean at NMIMS Indore; Ms. Reeta Gupta, Head of Social Science and Humanities at Choithram School North Campus; and Dr. Varsha Upadhyay, Associate Professor at Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya. Their expertise and insights added immense value to the occasion.

Teams from various schools across the Indore region participated in the event conducted under Dr. B.K. Passi Memorials Senior Bal Vigyan—Social Science Cluster IV, organized under the aegis of the Indore Sahodaya Schools Complex. Each team demonstrated remarkable talent and ingenuity, making the judges’ task of selecting winners exceptionally challenging.

The awards recognized excellence in various domains:

  • Best Presentation Awards: SICA S.S. School, Nipania Campus, and Kids College.
  • Best Idea Related to the Theme: Vedansh International School.
  • Best Question Award: Somkant Biswal from The Omni School.

National Youth Day and Annual Sports Meet: A Celebration of Strength and Spirit

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, marked a memorable celebration of ‘National Youth Day,’ honouring the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was a heartfelt tribute to Swamiji’s ideals of self-discipline, perseverance, and holistic development.

The day was made even more special as it coincided with the highly anticipated ‘Annual Sports Meet,’ a vibrant confluence of youthful energy and athletic excellence. The Chief Guest, Swami Aksharanand Ji Maharaj, captivated the audience with inspiring stories from Swami Vivekananda’s life, emphasizing the importance of balancing physical and mental growth to achieve greatness.

The sports events included the 100m and 200m sprints, long jump, standing broad jump, javelin throw, shot put, and relay races. Each competition was marked by enthusiastic participation, with students displaying remarkable determination and sportsmanship. The campus buzzed with excitement as participants gave their best, cheered on by their peers.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the School Executive Director Mr. Manoj Davey, Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar, Vice Principal Ms. Asha Bhatia, Headmistress Ms. Ameeta Chaudhary, and Pre-Primary Head Ms. Rupashree Sapru. Their words of encouragement reinforced the significance of sports in shaping character and fostering resilience.

The day concluded with loud cheers and applause for all participants, celebrating not just victories but the spirit of participation and perseverance. It was a day that truly embodied Swami Vivekananda’s vision of nurturing strong, resilient individuals capable of facing challenges with unwavering determination.

Nov 27, 2024 / Master Stroke Shri Mahendra Sethia Memorial Inter-School Ever-Rolling Cricket Tournament 2024

The third season of the prestigious Master Stroke Shri Mahendra Sethia Memorial Inter-School Ever-Rolling Cricket Tournament 2024 was successfully conducted at The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, from November 19 to November 26, 2024. A total of 14 reputed school teams competed in this knockout-format tournament, which comprised two matches daily and culminated in 13 fiercely contested games.

The tournament commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony by the school directors, Mr. Vineet Sethia and Mr. Manoj Davey. Their words of encouragement resonated with the school’s guiding philosophy—to foster the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among students.

In the thrilling finale, The Emerald Heights International School, Indore emerged victorious, claiming the championship title, while Daly Collage Indore secured the runner-up position. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination, earning applause from the audience.

In the thrilling final match, Emerald Heights International School defeated Daly College to claim the championship title. Ghazi Kamal was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances throughout the event.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Sanjeev Rao, Secretary of MPCA, and Mr. Mayank Yadav, Senior Sports Editor. The Principal, Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar, warmly welcomed all players and guests, while the Director, Mr. Manoj Davey, extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their commendable efforts.

The event concluded on a high note, celebrating the success of this prestigious tournament and leaving an indelible mark on participants and spectators alike. The tournament once again reaffirmed its legacy as a platform for nurturing young talent and a true celebration of cricket.

An Enriching Adventure: Shishyans Explore the Beauty of Koti, Shimla

Shishyans of Grades 6 and 7 from Shishukunj International North Campus recently embarked on an unforgettable educational tour to the serene landscapes of Koti, Shimla. This carefully curated experience combined adventure, learning, and the joys of travel, leaving students thrilled and inspired.

The journey began with a flight from Indore to Chandigarh, followed by a scenic transfer to the Nature Nest Eco Resort in Koti. Upon arrival, the students were introduced to the camp itinerary and participated in engaging team-building games, setting the tone for an exciting adventure ahead.

Mornings began with energizing sessions amidst nature, followed by outdoor adventure activities such as rappelling, ziplining, and obstacle courses, all conducted under the supervision of certified professionals. A wilderness survival trek through the picturesque surroundings provided valuable insights into mountain navigation, hydration, and shelter-building techniques.

Evenings at the camp were equally enriching, featuring bonfires, music, and open mic sessions where students showcased their creativity. The Orienteering Challenge stood out as a highlight, fostering teamwork and leadership among the Shishyans.

The night and morning treks became the tour’s pinnacle, immersing students in the raw beauty of nature and instilling an appreciation for flora, fauna, and environmental sustainability through the “Leave No Trace” principles.

This educational tour was not just about adventure but also about embracing independence, teamwork, and cultural diversity. The Shishyans returned with a treasure trove of memories, enriched perspectives, and a deep sense of camaraderie.

This tour proved to be a perfect blend of fun, learning, and personal growth—a remarkable chapter in the lives of the young Shishyans.
