A workshop on ‘Personal Hygiene’ was conducted by the educators for the students of Classes I and II on 31st August 2024. The importance of keeping the body clean was discussed thoroughly. The session included the explanation of brushing the teeth properly, washing the hands well, taking a proper bath, washing the hair properly, keeping the feet clean, wearing clean and ironed clothes and keeping the nails trimmed and clean at all times. The correct steps of maintaining oral health by keeping the teeth, gums and the mouth clean were also discussed. The significance of wearing proper and well-fitted shoes with clean, dry socks was reinforced, followed by a demonstration of the seven steps of washing the hands. The session concluded with a round of questions from the students which were addressed by the educators.
