Teachers’ Day at Shishukunj was marked by a vibrant display of cultural events with the student’s council taking centre stage to ensure a heartfelt and entertaining tribute to our dedicated educators.
The theme for this year’s programme was “Yaadon ka Mela”, a theme which acted like a time capsule transporting teachers to their own teenage years combined with relatable glimpses of their own bitter-sweet experiences that they have accumulated over the years.
Teachers were left in awe as the Student council took to the stage to perform the tunes of some of the teacher’s favourite Bollywood songs with the band giving a nostalgic theme to the entire event. The fusion dance combined the timeless elegance of Kathak with the catchiest of tunes to deliver an impressive performance. The skit made it hard for the teachers to control their laughter as the participants put on a humorous performance to show the comical interactions that teachers so ever often have with their students.
The event’s highlight was a free-style teacher dance, where educators danced on the beats of the Dhol alongside their students in a heartwarming display of student-teacher bonding.
The menu for the event, being as good as the event itself , included a wide variety of carnival foods ranging from sweet to savoury items.
As the event concluded, a video curated by the Student council showcasing a student’s journey with a teacher was marked as an appreciation for the fantastic job teachers do every day to make every bud bloom.
The programme was highly appreciated by all the educators as well as the members of the management. The Principal , Mrs. Singh thanked the students on behalf of all the educators.
Thereafter, all the educators along with the members of the management , went to watch a film. This ignited the spirit of bonhomie and togetherness and was a wonderful finale to the Teachers’ Day celebrations in the school
