Students are indeed capable of organizing their learning if they have the freedom to explore and engage in meaningful learning experiences and then have the chance to exhibit their work. The Shishyans of Class IV  were motivated to do so by their Social Studies educators. The students browsed through various books to study  the topic ‘Our National Symbols’. They worked in groups and did intensive research on India’s national symbols. Relevant books were procured from the library and kept for reference in each class. During the Social Studies classes, the Shishyans  presented their research to their peers in their respective groups. The activity aimed at fostering teamwork and cooperation, thereby enhancing the learning experiences of the students. The skills of each student added to the strength of his / her  group. The activity was loved by the Shishyans as it provided them with an opportunity to explore and strengthen their knowledge.
