Educators in Shishukunj use a range of approaches to provide the Shishyans with varied learning experiences. The Social Studies educators chose peer learning as an activity to help students interact with one another to fortify their knowledge by sharing the facts they collected. This activity was chosen to aid better retention of the concept and to encourage communication and collaboration.

The Shishyans of Class IV were given an opportunity to form groups and research about the northern mountains of our country. The students participated in the activity with great zest. Each group came thoroughly prepared and added richness to the joyful learning environment. The activity aimed at fostering teamwork, cooperation and patience. Each student’s strengths complemented the group and the classrooms were transformed into storehouses of knowledge and learning!
