Hindi Diwas was celebrated in Shishukunj on September 14, 2020. The school organized a virtual Inter-School Hindi Turncoat Competition which was open to students of Classes IX –XII. 14 leading schools of the city participated in this competition and Shishyan Vageesha Srivastava Class X E was adjudged one of the Best Three Speakers.
This was a debate with a difference. The topic: Keeping animals in a zoo is a Symbol of Cruelty that was given to the students 30 minutes before the start of the event. They prepared points on their own and thereafter spoke for 04 minutes on this topic – 02 minutes for it and 02 minutes against it. This gave the students an opportunity to think of the topic from all angles.
The event was ably judged by stalwarts of Hindi Literature: Mr. Sanjay Patel, Mr. Satyanarayan Vyas, and Dr. (Mrs.) Kumud Bhagwat. The best three speakers were:

Students of Classes VI – VIII participated in Picture Composition Competition. They were shown a picture and were required to weave a story around it within one hour. The picture required them to think out of the box- the best three stories will be awarded from each section.
Thereafter the best three stories will be chosen from across all sections.
This was surely a good way to promote love for the Hindi language.
