The Shishukunj International School hosted the thirteenth Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2021-22 in an in-person ceremony at its Jhalaria campus, on April 02, 2022. The ceremony featured addresses from Management and Student leadership, parent representatives, Special Guest, and the Commencement Speech by the Chief Guest.
The Graduation Day took off with a ‘red carpet’ greeting for the graduating Batch of 2022. Wearing graduation caps and gowns, they took part in the Walk Past that culminated at the Revati building in the Junior School. In her address, Mrs Kamayani Chouhan said, The Class of 2022 has demonstrated that they are resilient as they have endured and adapted to unanticipated changes.’
After the Candle Lighting ceremony the Vice Principal (Academics), Mrs Sandhya Bhargava expressed immense joy and pride in the fact that the students had grown with grace and maturity and added that Shishukunj is not only their Alma mater but also their home. This was followed by the Principal, Dr (Mrs) Lalita Singh’s address. “I proudly stand and acknowledge each one of you. This day is also your Commencement Day. It is the beginning of the next phase of your life. We give you to the world but in future do come back to us to tell us your stories.”
The ceremony began with the entry of the students into the Velodrome with balloons in their hands. Once in their seats, they let the balloons free, turning the dusky sky into a pallette of green and yellow dots.
The compères, Mrs Yogini Dandvate and Mrs Vasundhara Ohri (Vice Principal- Operations) welcomed the parents and introduced the guests.
Faculty members Mr Thomson Varghese, Mrs Latika Pandey, and Mrs Amrita Majumdar read the citations as each student of Batch 2022 came up on stage and received mementos from the guests in the presence of the Director, Mr Dhirendra Davey and Principal Mrs Lalita Singh.
The Chief Guest, Mr Ramesh Mavji Ruda Patel , a well known philanthropist and Managing Director of Varbud Construction Co Ltd, London. He has been the recipient of many notable awards such as the President’s Award and the Shishu Sewak Award by Shishukunj International Foundation. Addressing the Batch of 2022, he said, “You have reached an important milestone, and now it is time for you to lead the change into a world that none of us can predict—you have already proven you have the aptitude and strength to shine a light on a path to the future.”
The Special Guest Mrs Aarti Sanghi, passionate about the art of Architectural Glass Designing , owns the brand ‘Frost’. She has founded- “BLU “the Lifestyle store in Indore & Bhopal and Café@BLU. She is also the founder of Ficci Ladies Organisation (FLO) Indore Chapter and also of Artisinal Cremalato, manufacturing & retail of Gourmet Ice creams. Addressing the students, she said, “The world needs you. Now, more than ever before, it needs people who are thinkers, people who are globally minded, and it needs people who are willing to take the first step.”
Dr (Mrs) Lalita Singh, the Principal administered the oath, and the ceremony came to an end with a presentation of mementos to the guests and a group photograph of the Batch of 2022. The Vice Principal (Operations), Mrs Ohri presented the Vote of Thanks.
