The Shishukunj International School hosted the Fourteenth Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2022-23 in a solemn ceremony on February 08, 2023. The ceremony featured addresses from the members of the Management and School Headboy, parent representative, Mrs Renu Rawat, and the Commencement Speech by the Chief Guest, Brig Akashdeep Bhanot.
The Graduation Day took off with a ‘red carpet’ greeting for the graduating Batch of 2023. Wearing graduation caps and gowns, they took part in the Walk Past that culminated at the Revati building in the Junior School. In her address, Headmistress, Mrs Kamayani Chouhan said, “The Class of 2023 has come a long way from being tiny tots that needed hand holding in the early years of schooling to being a batch that has bloomed like a garden full of sweet smelling roses of all hues.”
After the Candle Lighting ceremony it was time for the most-awaited address by the Principal, Dr (Mrs) Lalita Singh. Addressing the outgoing batch she said, “I proudly stand and acknowledge each one of you. This day, February 08, 2023 will be etched in your memories forever, for this is the day we give you to the world but do keep coming back to us to tell us your stories.” She said that the batch of 2023 has exhibited both unwavering resilience and unexpected maturity in dealing with the unique situation thrown at them in the past couple of years.
The ceremony began with the grand entry of the students into the Velodrome where their parents and juniors awaited them.
Mrs Vasundhara Ohri (Vice Principal- Operations) welcomed the parents and introduced the Chief Guest.Faculty members Mrs Amrita Majumdar , Mrs Latika Pandey and Mr Thomson Varghese read the citations as each student of Batch 2023 came up on stage and received mementos from the guests in the presence of the Director, Mr Dhirendra Davey and Principal Dr (Mrs) Lalita Singh.
The Chief Guest, Brigadier Akashdeep Bhanot is a recipient of the prestigious Sewa Medal for distinguished service. Addressing the Batch of 2023, he said, “You have reached an important milestone, and now it is time for you to leave the hallowed portals of your school and lead the this great country into a bright future—you have already proven you have the aptitude and strength to choose the harder right over the easier wrong.”
Dr (Mrs) Lalita Singh, the Principal administered the oath, and the ceremony came to an end with a presentation of mementos to the guests and a group photograph of the Batch of 2023. The Vice Principal (Operations), Mrs Ohri presented the Vote of Thanks.
