To commemorate the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the renowned mathematician of our country, a Math event was planned in Classes I to V to enable the Shishyans to learn the concepts of Mathematics in a fun filled way. A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the children to introduce them to the great mathematician of our country and to tell them about his work and achievements. The Shishyans of Class I used clay to learn counting and to make shapes while the Shishyans of Classes II and IV played tambola to understand certain concepts of mathematics. The students of Class III had a great time discussing some interesting tricks to make calculations easier. Creating shapes using tangrams was made easy for the Shishyans of Class V who participated in groups of 15 students and had an interactive session with their Math educators. The event aimed at making the Shishyans understand that the study of Math is truly exciting and if we look around us, we find Math in several activities of our everyday life.
