Anveshika is an Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) initiative to create centres across India in schools and colleges where students and teachers can learn experiment based physics and try out their own innovative ideas.
Established in 2001 at Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College,Kanpur, this initiative boasts of 24 Anveshikas running in the country under National Anveshika Network of India (NANI) .Shishukunj-IAPT Anveshika is the youngest and the 25th Anveshika in this chain. All the Anveshikas are co-ordinated under NANI. Presently Dr.H.C.Verma (Retd. Prof. I.I.T.Kanpur), renowned Physicist of India is the co-ordinator of NANI.
The Anveshikas regularly organize interactive sessions with the students, short and long-term teacher’s training programmes, develop new teaching demonstrations and other activities as found appropriate with the local and IAPT objective to make physics teaching more effective and learner centric.
While each Anveshika plans its own programmes, they share the same vision and basic methodology.
