We are happy to announce that as part of the 2025 Earth Prize – an international sustainability and science competition that saw participation from nearly 15,000 students worldwide, a team comprising Dhruv Chaudhary (XII F), Mithran Ladhania and Mridul Jain (XII E), with their submission, Thermavault, was selected as the Regional Winners for Asia among an 4,500 students competing from Asia. Along with this, they have received a funding of $12,500, (or about 10.7 lakh rupees) to carry forward their innovation to the global level.

The team is currently competing for the Global Winners Phase, where out of 7 Regional winners across 6 continents, one will be chosen as the Global Winner.

The Earth Prize is an annual international science and sustainability challenge organized by the Earth Foundation. In the 2025 cycle of the Earth Prize, almost 15,000 students competed from all around the world.

The team’s submission was “Thermavault”, an electricity-free fridge that runs purely on salt based reactions. It is meant for transportation of medical supplies, especially vaccines. It is able to maintain internal temperatures of 2˚C to 6˚C.
