On July 23, 2024 , Shishyans were introduced to the incredible world of financial literacy, intelligent investing, and the rising role of commerce in the modern world through an enlightening session   by Mr. Abbas Rampurwala, a  financial expert and Chartered Accountant with has more than 20 years of experience in the field of commerce across the globe.

The session began with  Mr. Rampurwala  discussing the expanding role of commerce in the past few decades, emphasizing the vocational shift occurring worldwide with an increasing number of students opting for careers in commerce. He analysed the growing significance of commerce in all sectors of the economy, guiding the students on the variety of careers unfolding in today’s world. 

He also discussed his own experience of growing up in Indore with the students, recounting his childhood experiences with the town, and comparing the economic state of the city from the years of his own childhood to that of today. Not only did he successfully relate to the students by sharing these experiences, his narrative of rising from humble beginnings to becoming such a prominent figure in the financial sector also served as a lamp of hope and inspiration to the young, aspiring Shishyans. 

Mr. Rampurwala  finally concluded by guiding the students on the principles of intelligent investing and the various methods the students can use to invest, advising them on how to choose the best approach based on their own individual risk tolerance.
