On July 17, 2023, the Shishukunj Students’ Council visited 3 Aaganwadis which have been adopted by the Ishan Foundation.
Interacting with children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years was an eye opener for the students. The Council Members played with the children, talked to them, in other words, tried to understand the realities of their life in the Anganwadis.
Our own alumnus, Rusheek Rawal of Ishan Foundation, who is pursuing MBBS currently, spoke with the council members regarding the work being done by them for the children in these Anganwadis. The members learnt about the govt. policies and the workings of these institutions and shared their ideas as to how Shishyans can get involved and lend a hand.
No words can describe how the students felt after visiting the Aaganwadis. While it made them feel so blessed, it also made them resolve to do whatever little they can to bring joy and colour in the lives of these children.
