The Educational Initiatives team conducted a very enriching workshop on How to frame Good Questions. They highlighted the importance of making good questions and how our teaching should revolve around the ability of students to answer questions correctly.

This workshop helped the educators to focus on the purpose of asking a specific question- to assess a student’s knowledge and to make them think. In order to drive home the point, the resource person conducting an interesting and interactive activity wherein each group of participants was handed a set of questions. The participants graded the questions on a scale of 1 to 5 on the basis of whether the question was trivial or essential.
In another activity the participants were asked to choose a class, subject, and a concept and frame a question stating what is it they are aiming to assess.

Both these activities helped the participants immensely and they left the workshop better equipped as educators, as assessment shapes the teaching and learning process to a great extent.
