Shishukunj organized a very comprehensive and enriching Professional Enrichment programme for all educators from 06- 11 June , 2022
The New Education Policy 2020 lays particular emphasis on the development of the creative potential of each individual and also states that the teacher must be at the center of the fundamental reforms in the education system.
In order to ensure that the policy is implemented in its spirit and intent, among other steps, teacher awareness and training is very important. During the enrichment programme, eminent subject experts and educationists provided expert advice, organized subject specific workshops, and interacted with the educators to clarify various parts of the NEP 2020. According to the educators the Enrichment Program provided them with the much – needed inputs on various important features of the NEP 2020 viz. recognizing, identifying, and fostering the unique capabilities of each student, multidisciplinary and a holistic education, emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning and learning-for-exams, creativity and critical thinking to encourage logical decision-making and innovation, focus on regular formative assessment for learning ,etc.
The teachers will continue to be trained, encouraged, and supported – with continuous professional development so as to improve learning outcomes in their classrooms.
